The Most Popular Selling Laptops for 2011

Each month we compile data for the number of times a particular notebook is viewed on this site's product pages to get an idea for what mainstream consumers are looking at and thinking about buying. Take a closer look at the notebooks that our visitors wanted to see the most during the month of March.

Keep in mind that clicks directly on the "Most Viewed Laptops" list do not count toward the total in order to keep the list as fair as possible each month. Even though the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is new to the Most Popular Laptops List, it rose to the #1 spot this month, pushing the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 down to position #2, which it held since October 2010. The Lenovo ThinkPad T410 occupies the #3 spot; a bump down since last month.
1. Lenovo ThinkPad X220 

The 12.5-inch Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is an ultraportable business notebook that will soon replace the popular X201. The X220 comes built with the latest of the Intel Sandy Bridge processors (Core i3, i5 or i7), has a high-quality IPS display, and can deliver more than eight and a half hours of battery life. With the optional battery slice this system can deliver 18 and a half hours of mobile life. Choose up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and a hard drive with up to 320GB of hard drive storage.
2. Lenovo ThinkPad X201 

 The Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is a 12.1-inch screen ultraportable laptop that offers the latest Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. The X201 has an amazing 6 hour battery life, integrated touchpad and pointing stick, full sized keyboard and the typical excellent ThinkPad build quality users have come to expect.
3. Lenovo ThinkPad T410 

The ThinkPad T410 is a 14-inch screen portable laptop targeted at business users. The new Lenovo ThinkPad T410 model features a sleek, industrial design, clean lines, a symmetrical display and wider hinges. Plus, a next-generation keyboard and touchpad that not only has a more modern look, but is also easier to use. The ThinkPad T410 comes equipped with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and optional NVIDIA switchable NVS3100M 512MB graphics.

4. HP Probook 4520s 

 The HP ProBook 4520s is a small and medium business notebook that replaces the older 4510s from last year. The new model bumps the configuration from the older Intel Core 2 Duo family of processors to the newer Intel Core line, including the Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. The 4520s features a more durable metal exterior cladding, improved performance, and a very nice keyboard.

5.Dell XPS 15 

The Dell XPS 15 with Windows Ultimate, Professional or Home Premium comes with the choice of four different-powered Intel Core i7 or i5 processors, ranging from 840QM to 460M. Also choose from 4, 6 or 8GB shared dual-channel DDR3 memory. The highest-powered battery is 9-cell, offering 9 hours and 9 minutes of battery life. 

6. Asus G73JH

This 17.3-inch monster has a Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and the most powerful mobile video card available, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870. 

7. Lenovo ThinkPad X120e 

At just under 3 lbs, the 11.6-inch Lenovo ThinkPad X120e is an ultraportable netbook with Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) or Professional (64-bit). Choose from 2GB or 4GB DDR3 SDRAM. Hard drive has 320GB of storage space at 5400rpm. Battery is 6 cell, Li-Ion, 57 Whr.

8. Dell Inspiron 15R 

The Dell Inspiron 15R multimedia notebook includes a 6-cell battery that was tested to last for a maximum of 4 hours of power. Consumers can choose to purchase the optional 9-cell battery for longer mobile power. Hard drive can include up to 640GB of storage. Comes with a standard integrated graphics card or an optional ATi Radeon graphics card. Color choices include black, blue, pink or red. 

9. HP Pavilion dm3t  

Get a balance of performance, mobility, and affordability in a thin, sleek design. The Pavilion dm3t series is powered by Intel's ultra-low-voltage, dual-core processors, and with 6 or more hours of battery life, these PCs have the stamina to go all day. 

10. Lenovo G550 

 The Lenovo G550 is an update to the Value Line G530 with the primary difference being the shift from a 16:10 to a 16:9 screen. Configurations include either Intel Pentium or Core 2 Duo processor and up to 4GB DDR3 installed memory.
